Summary
Josh D. Friedman is a trial attorney and appellate litigator at the firm’s Walnut Creek office. Mr. Friedman’s current practice focuses on representing design professionals and construction contractors in litigation, arbitration, and pre-claim matters involving professional liability, business disputes, construction defects, and catastrophic injuries.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Friedman served as a staff attorney for federal immigration, criminal, and administrative appeals at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Friedman also gained significant trial and appellate experience as an assistant chief counsel with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he prosecuted over forty administrative appeals, handled approximately four hundred administrative trials, and provided expert advice to various government agencies for high-profile cases before the federal district and appellate courts.
Mr. Friedman received his Juris Doctor from Hastings College of the Law at the University of California, a master’s degree in International Policy Studies from Monterey Institute of International Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in English from Amherst College.
