Bao D. Nguyen

Bao Nguyen is a trial lawyer in the firm’s Orange office. Mr. Nguyen has significant experience in employment and labor law and focuses his practice on advising and defending employers against claims of discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, wage and hour violations.

Mr. Nguyen began his legal career litigating construction defect and copyright infringement claims. Before joining Collins + Collins, Mr. Nguyen worked at a boutique firm representing insurance carriers and other third-party payors in complex commercial litigation involving healthcare fraud and unlawful business practices under the California Insurance Frauds Prevention Act. Mr. Nguyen has been named by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in Northern California in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

In law school, Mr. Nguyen externed for the District Chief Judge, the Honorable Jennifer Gee (retired) at the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Administrative Law Judges and served as an article editor on the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review law journal. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (now University of California College of the Law, San Francisco) in 2015. He graduated with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2012 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.
