Allison N. Imam-Hedrick

SUMMARY

Allison N. Imam-Hedrick is a trial attorney at the firm’s Orange County office. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick’s practice includes commercial transactions, general business litigation, general casualty litigation, construction law, including the representation of builders, contractors and subcontractors, and professional liability, including the representation of architects, engineers, and legal professionals. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick is experienced in all phases of  pre-litigation, litigation, and trial. She also advises companies on business practices or issues and drafts contracts. 

Prior to joining C+C, Mrs. Imam-Hedrick prosecuted consumer protection claims on behalf of consumers and defendants. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick’s practice encompasses many areas of law; she has represented clients in construction claims, including SB-800 pre-litigation claims, construction defect, property damage, and personal injury claims related to various construction projects at residential properties, commercial properties, and mixed-used residential projects—both small and large. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick defended against personal injury claims involving slip-and-fall claims, catastrophic injuries, and soft-tissue injuries. She also handled business disputes, including, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, recission, defamation, fraud, elder abuse, unfair business practices, deceptive trade practices, and landlord-tenant issues.  

Mrs. Imam-Hedrick graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis (IUPUI), earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree where she majored in Philosophy and minored in Religious Studies. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick continued her philosophical studies at IUPUI by earning a Master of Arts Degree in Philosophy. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick earned her Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas’s William S. Boyd School of Law.

EXPERIENCE

Successful Demurrer which Led to Settlement for Contractor without Contribution to the Global Settlement and Recovery of Unpaid Fees for Services: Mrs. Imam-Hedrick represented a water damage remediation contractor in a case filed by the property owner alleging negligent work, elder abuse, and other fraud and consumer protection-based claims. The property owned also sued the homeowners’ association. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick’s client was owed unpaid fees for his services. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick prevailed on a demurrer wherein the fraud, elder abuse, and consumer protection claims were dismissed. This paved the way for settlement between the parties, wherein Mrs. Inam-Hedrick’s client did not have to contribute towards the settlement and her client also was able to recover the unpaid fees.

Negotiated a Favorable Settlement for a Driver and Rideshare Company: Mrs. Imam-Hedrick defended her client, a delivery driver, in a personal injury case involving a car accident. The plaintiffs demanded policy limits to settle the case but, through Mrs. Imam-Hedrick’s savvy negotiation skills, she was able to settle the matter for a tenth of that amount. 

Aggressively Negotiated a Favorable Settlement for HVAC-installation Contractor: Mrs. Imam-Hedrick represented an HVAC installation company, in a personal injury case stemming from a roof collapse incident at a business. The plaintiff initially demanded $10 million to settle his claims, but through Mrs. Imam-Hedrick’s aggressive case management she was able to settle this case for $50,000.

Negotiated a Favorable Settlement for Driver and Driver’s Employer: Mrs. Imam-Hedrick defended her clients, a commercial driver and his employer, against claims stemming from a car accident. Mrs. Imam-Hedrick was able to resolve this case for a nuisance value.
