Mr. Leiford is passionate about helping clients protect their businesses and interests, and he is dedicated to providing them with excellent legal representation. 

Prior to joining Collins + Collins, Mr. Leiford spent the inception of his career as a Deputy District Attorney in Contra Costa County and as an experienced trial attorney. During his time as a Deputy District Attorney, Mr. Leiford vigorously represented victims in Contra Costa County and tried 9 jury trials to verdict, securing convictions in cases involving driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana for sales, gun possession, child abuse, domestic violence, resisting arrest, and assault on a peace officer. Mr. Leiford has also conducted over 45 Preliminary Hearings and was personally responsible for a caseload of over 100 cases. Mr. Leiford is an experienced legal writer and has personally written over 100 combined criminal related motions. 

Mr. Leiford received his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law in Santa Clara, California, where he was awarded an Emery Merit Scholarship, and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award for achieving the highest grade and exceptional academic achievement in his International Human Rights law school course. Mr. Leiford completed his undergraduate studies at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
