Kathleen A. Hupke

SUMMARY

Ms. Hupke is a trial attorney at the firm’s Walnut Creek office. Her practice focuses on public entity liability, professional liability, construction litigation, general casualty litigation, labor and employment litigation, product liability, and trial. She is passionate about providing her clients with excellent legal representation.

Prior to joining Collins + Collins, Ms. Hupke worked as a Deputy District Attorney at the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office where she managed over 200 felony and misdemeanor cases. Ms. Hupke is an experienced trial attorney and has secured 11 jury trial convictions for charges of assault, elder abuse, domestic violence, gun possession, and more. Ms. Hupke conducted over 85 preliminary hearings with successful outcomes and has authored over 50 motions, including appellate briefs. 

Ms. Hupke received her Juris Doctor from Santa Clara University School of Law where she was a recipient of the Emery Merit Scholarship. At Santa Clara University, Ms. Hupke was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in her Appellate Advocacy and Criminal Procedure courses. Ms. Hupke completed her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Spanish.
